  • Exercise 1.3 and 1.4 in chapter 1 (week 1)
  • Exercise 2.5 in chapter 2 (week 2)
  • Upload your modified HTML and CSS file to a web server of your choice. Your page must be publicly available.

All submission should provide a valid URL (Internet address), pointing where your web page is available.

No access to a web server?

Important!
  • All submissions must strictly follow the submission instruction as described above. Not obeying this will result in your submission being incorrectly marked or rejected. In particular, you have to publish your file on a server and you have to fill-in and submit the questionnaire in order to pass.
  • Submissions must be genuine HTML pages entirely and manually created by you. No blog (e.g. Wordpress) or wiki posts and no pages prepared with CMS or web authoring tools will be accepted.
  • In case of any technical problems with your submission, e.g. inaccessibility of a web server, you should contact me by e-mail as soon as possible. No complains will be accepted after the submission deadline.
  • Please do not use Flash, Java applets, ActiveX and scripting! This is an XHTML/CSS activity and only pure XHTML tags will be considered while marking.
Marking scheme:
Following aspects are taken into account:
  1. up to 1 point for XHTML created, uploaded to the server and URL provided.
  2. up to 1 point for Relevant content as specified in Exercise 1.3.
  3. up to 1 point for HTML table or list used.
  4. up to 2 points for HTML validates with no errors.
  5. up to 1 point for CSS file present and linked to the HTML.
  6. up to 1 point for CSS frame and heading as specified in Exercise 2.5.
  7. up to 1 point for CSS look and feel as specified in Exercise 2.5.
  8. up to 2 points for CSS file validates with no errors.
Submissions without a valid URL will get no marks!
